Neurotic Outsiders - Neurotic Outsiders.
Credentials are vast: Punk guitar hero Steve Jones (ex-Sex Pistols), Duran Duran guitarist John Taylor, ex Cult, G'n'R drummer Matt Sorum, and ex-bassist for G'n'R Duff McKagen all combined in L.A. and started jamming on stage, playing mostly old punk covers at the Viper Club, but some new material came out of it, and surfaced on this album. It tanked for a lot of reasons, the least of which was that the band wasn't really supposed to be serious. It ABSOLUTELY reeks of Los Angeles, and it's a bit repetitive at times, but it's way better, and hits a lot harder than any of the newer top 40 rock you may be bored of hearing. "Angelina" and their cover of the Clash's "Janie Jones" particularly stand out; most of the tunes are written by Jones, and they're fairly solid. C&P.
