the Shotdowns - This Party is a Frathouse.
Powerful early hardcore era style punk, then turned out to be from Chicago, not Maine, and include the legendary Ben Weasel and John Jughead, and writer Jim DeRogatis. Some kinda dirty trick, but a fucking cool record. If you're expecting Screeching Weasel, think again. This record sounds barely like Weasel & Co. and you have to really listen carefully to even tell that the singer is Ben Weasel. That's not to say the songs aren't great, but this is a different and exciting band. C&P.
